Danann (Mythologie celte irlandaise), déesse primordiale des Tuatha Dé Danann (les gens de la déesse Danann), les dieux celtes. Elle serait à l'origine de l'installation de son peuple en Irlande, alors qu'il vivait dans les quatre îles au nord du Monde. On retrouve la racine de son nom partout en Europe jusqu'en Inde. Il signifirait "donateur", "bienfaiteur" ce qui fait de Danann la déesse de la fertilité et de la prospérité. Chez les Celtes, la redistribution des richesses était la qualité première de la fonction royale. Dagda (Mythologie celte irlandaise), (« dieu bon » - Daga Devos) est le dieu le plus important des Tuatha Dé Danann juste après Lug. Il est le dieu-druide par excellence et a en charge le sacré, la science, les contrats. Il règne sur le climat, l'éternité et sur les éléments. Il possède des talismans : une harpe magique (car il est aussi le dieu tutélaire des musiciens), un chaudron qui symbolise la souveraineté, l'abondance et la résurrection ainsi qu'une massue (il a le droit de vie et de mort : la massue tue par un bout et ressuscite de l'autre). Dylan Eil Ton (Mythologie celte galloise), est le frère jumeau du dieu Llew Llaw Gyffes. Il apparaît dans la Quatrième Branche du Mabinogi : Math fils de Mathonwy. Leur naissance est le fruit d'une pratique magique, quand le roi Math veut s'assurer de la virginité de leur mère Arianrhod. Courroucée d'avoir été démasquée, elle poursuit Llew de sa colère en prononçant trois geisa. Peu après, Dylan, nommé ainsi par le roi, gagne la mer, s'y baigne et nage « aussi bien que les poissons les plus agiles » ; ce qui lui vaut le surnom de « fils de la vague » (Eil Ton). Il est malencontreusement tué par son oncle Gofannon.
Dylan Eil Ton est aussi mentionné dans un poème du « Livre de Taliesin » dans lequel il est qualifié de magicien. Dylan Eil Ton (Welsh celtic mythology), is the twin brother of the god Llew Llaw Gyffes. He appears in the Fourth Branch of Mabinogi : Math son of Mathonwy. Their birth is the result of a magic practice, when King Math wants to make sure of the virginity of their mother Arianrhod. To be uncovered, she follows Llew of its anger by pronouncing three geisa. Shortly thereafter Dylan, named thus by the king, reaches the sea, bathes and swims there "as well as the most agile fishes", which earned him the nickname "son of the wave" (Eil Ton). He is inadvertently killed by his uncle Gofannon.
